Care Smith Corp ("Care Smith," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to caresmithcorp.com only. It is not a notice about the care or health information of people who live at Care Smith; that is handled separately and directly with residents, their families, and their support teams.
Information you give us
When you use the inquiry form, you may share your name, your relationship to the individual you are asking about, your email address, your phone number, where you are in the process, and a short message. If you email or call us, we receive whatever you choose to share.
Please do not submit medical records or sensitive health information through the website or by email. The form and our general email address are for initial inquiries only. If more information is needed, we will explain the appropriate way to share it.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and, if you wish, to continue the conversation about whether Care Smith may be the right fit.
- To keep a record of inquiries so we can follow up thoughtfully.
- To understand, in aggregate, how people use the website so we can improve it.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. The one exception to keeping form details on our side is ad measurement: as described under "Cookies and analytics," when the inquiry form is submitted, the Meta Pixel may send Meta a hashed (scrambled) version of contact details you entered, such as your email address and phone number, so we can tell whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to inquiries.
Where your inquiry goes
Inquiry form submissions are stored securely in this website's database and sent by email to our team at Care Smith. We keep inquiries for as long as reasonably needed to respond and, if a placement conversation follows, as part of that process. You may ask us to delete your inquiry at any time (see "Your choices" below). We do not store your IP address with your inquiry.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to measure visits, pages viewed, and whether the inquiry form was submitted. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) that assign a random identifier to your browser. We use this data only in aggregate. We have not enabled Google advertising features.
This website also uses the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). It records page visits and whether the inquiry form was submitted, and sets cookies (such as _fbp), so we can measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram. When the form is submitted, it may send Meta a hashed (scrambled) version of contact details you entered, such as your email address and phone number, so Meta can match the inquiry to an ad. It does not send your message. Meta handles this information under its Privacy Policy. You can manage how Meta uses it in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.
You can decline analytics and advertising cookies by blocking cookies in your browser, by using a browser extension such as the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or by enabling a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control setting where your browser supports it. The website works fully without these cookies.
Service providers
A small number of service providers process information on our behalf, only to operate the website, our email, and our advertising:
- Google (Analytics and Tag Manager for measurement; reCAPTCHA to protect the inquiry form from automated spam; Google Fonts for typography; Google Workspace for our email). When the site loads Google Fonts, Analytics, or reCAPTCHA, your browser sends technical information such as your IP address to Google. reCAPTCHA also sets a cookie and analyzes how you interact with the form to tell people from bots; its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Meta (the Meta Pixel, to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads, as described above).
- DigitalOcean, which hosts the website's server in the United States.
Like nearly every website, our server keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. These are deleted automatically on a rolling basis.
Children
This website is intended for adults: family members, guardians, support coordinators, and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through this site, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You may ask us to see, correct, or delete the information you have shared with us through this website. Email info@caresmithcorp.com with your request and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also decline analytics and advertising cookies as described above.
Security
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to inquiry records is limited to the people at Care Smith who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, which is one more reason we ask that you not send sensitive health information through the site.
Links to other sites
This website may link to other organizations. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the website handles information, we will update this page and the effective date above.
